WELCOME TO Y PHILLY 2008!
We're happy to announce this year's partnership between students of Vanadzor School in Armenia and Northeast High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Y Philly: A Youth Identity Project, gives youth worldwide the opportunity to communicate across cultural and language borders through art.
This blog will allow students in Vanadzor and Philadelphia to share their progress and ideas as they collaborate on a semester-long project culminating in the mutual exchange of Identity Artworks. Please check back to follow the progress of this project and its intrinsic multicultural exchange.

We would be really interested to receive regular updates on this project and publicise them during the preparation to the annual "Russian Mosaic" festival that celebrates the cultures of all nationalities that lived in the former Soviet Union, including Armenians
We are currently planning and organizing an artwork event near the Philadelphia Art Museum. I am curious however, how are the Vanadzor students approaching this project? and I would like to know more about this "Russian Mosaic" festival.
My class and I are working in the artwork that will take place in May, and I am very happy to be part of this event. I want to say that I enjoy and appreciate the opportunity of exchanging art with everyone around the world. I am looking forward to learn more about the Russian Mosaic festival, and especially about the different cultures
I'm excited to take part in this project. I feel that art is a universal language, so naturally I feel at home helping to organize the Philadelphia event. We have come up with a few ideas as too what the art display will be, but we have not come to a decision yet. Like David, I wonder how the Vanadzor students are progressing.
Hello everyone, I'm really excited to work with everyone on this project. Hopefully everything will turn out perfect. My class and I are working hard to make this project a success. peace.
